Telephone 01651 843910 (answerphone) – The role of the District Nursing Team is to carry out nursing care to patients who are housebound and unable to get to the surgery. Along with the provision of nursing care they also provide support and information to the patient, their carer and the family. The community nursing teamwork in partnership with the patient and co-ordinate a network of care and support, work in collaboration with GPs, Marie Curie Nursing Service, Social Services and other Health Care Professionals to deliver person centred care. Their main focus is wound management, continence management, long term conditions, care of the terminally ill and palliative care.
Our health visitor, Julie Main, is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Her role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing. Telephone 01651 843934 (answerphone).
