The practice carries out hundreds of laboratory tests on patients each week.\u00a0 It is vitally important that patients contact us for these results to make sure they are fully informed and that nothing serious is missed.<\/p>\n

The person doing the test will tell the patient when to contact the surgery for the result, most taking just a few days to come back. We will\u00a0only give\u00a0results to someone other than the patient if you (the patient)\u00a0give your\u00a0written consent<\/strong>\u00a0to us, children under 12 excepted.<\/p>\n

Do\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0assume all is well because we did not contact you with the result, you must call to find out for yourself.\u00a0 It is\u00a0the patient’s\u00a0responsibility to make sure the you are\u00a0informed of any test results.<\/p>\n

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection.
