If you include a stamped addressed envelope we will post your prescription back to you. Or the prescription will be available from reception or your pharmacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We do not take repeat prescription requests over the phone with the exception of from housebound patients.<\/p>\n<h3>Collecting your Prescription<\/h3>\n<p>You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 2 to 3 working days after you have ordered it.<\/p>\n<p>You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.<\/p>\n<p>You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions<\/li>\n<li>at your GP practice<\/li>\n<li>at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please be aware that <em><strong>Tesco Pharmacy<\/strong> <\/em>are no longer collecting prescriptions from the surgery.<\/p>\n<h3>Urgent Prescriptions<\/h3>\n<p>If you have run out of your medicines and have been told to not stop taking your medication without consulting a Doctor, you can go to your local pharmacy and request an emergency supply. This will be enough for you to keep taking\u00a0until we can get a new prescription to the pharmacy, even if we are open. Please note we\u00a0<strong>cannot<\/strong>\u00a0fax prescriptions to chemists.<\/p>\n<h3>About Pharmacists<\/h3>\n<p>As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>coughs<\/li>\n<li>colds<\/li>\n<li>sore throats<\/li>\n<li>tummy trouble<\/li>\n<li>aches and pains<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhsinform.scot\/scotlands-service-directory\/pharmacies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-link-id=\"343111\" data-use-default-display=\"false\" data-use-default-title=\"false\" data-toggle=\"tooltip\" data-placement=\"bottom\" data-bs-original-title=\"Find a pharmacy (nhsinform.scot)\">Find a pharmacy (nhsinform.scot)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends.
