{"id":17,"date":"2016-10-05T15:06:54","date_gmt":"2016-10-05T14:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.surgeryweb.org.uk\/newdemo\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2026-08-03T19:11:28","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T18:11:28","slug":"clinics-services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/surgeryweb-scot.org.uk\/40224\/clinics-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Clinics &#038; Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a wide range of special clinics and healthcare services:<\/p>\n<h4>Long Term Conditions (Chronic Diseases)<\/h4>\n<p>The practice nurses, in conjunction with the healthcare assistant and GP\u2019s, offer regular check-ups throughout the week for a wide range of ailments including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Asthma<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Chronic Kidney Disease<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>COPD <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Diabetes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Epilepsy<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Hypertension<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Heart Failure<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ischaemic Heart Disease (IHD)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mental Health Problems<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Stroke<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These check-ups are by invitation.<\/p>\n<h3>Other Services<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Travel Advice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Across Scotland GP&#8217;s no longer deliver any travel vaccinations and the responsibility has transferred to Health Boards. Four travel vaccines are available on the NHS (Typhoid, Hepatitis A, DPT and Cholera) at no direct cost to the patient.
