This is completely free for Children to the age of 16 and young people in education until age 18, if you are 60 or over or if you are in receipt of most of the usual benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Click this link to see the long list of <a href=\"https:\/\/surgeryweb-scot.org.uk\/40224\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/nhs-pharmacy-first-scotland-approved-list-of-products-v30-01-june-2024.pdf\">Pharmacy First medication<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0illnesses they can treat and medicines they can provide which includes Peptac and ranitidine for <strong>Indigestion<\/strong>, various drops for <strong>Infant Colic<\/strong>, laxatives for <strong>constipation<\/strong>, advice on what to do and what medicines to temporarily stop if you have <strong>diarrhoea<\/strong>, creams for <strong>haemorrhoids<\/strong>, <strong>mouth ulcers<\/strong> and<strong> teething<\/strong>, <strong>oral thrush<\/strong>, drops tablets and nose sprays for <strong>hay fever<\/strong>, advice and remedies for <strong>coughs colds and sore throats<\/strong>, painkillers for <strong>injuries<\/strong> and <strong>pain<\/strong>, <strong>travel sickness<\/strong> tablets, creams and tablets for <strong>fungal infections<\/strong>including <strong>vaginal thrush<\/strong> and <strong>athletes foot<\/strong>, <strong>cold sore cream<\/strong>, <strong>wart treatments<\/strong>, treatment for the whole family if you suspect a case of <strong>worms<\/strong> <strong>headlice<\/strong> or <strong>scabies<\/strong>. Vitamins and iron for <strong>pregnant Mums<\/strong>. Moisturising and steroids creams for <strong>eczema<\/strong> and <strong>allergy<\/strong>, Applications and shampoos for <strong>cradle cap<\/strong> and flaking scalps. For <strong>dry eyes<\/strong> or <strong>eye infections<\/strong>they can prescribe soothing and antibiotic drops, and the can supply you with drops to remove <strong>ear wax<\/strong>, and dressings for <strong>cuts and scrapes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pharmacy First<\/strong> services are free to anyone registered with a Scottish GP. If you are a woman between 16 and 65 and suspect you have a <strong>urine infection<\/strong>, you can walk in to most pharmacies without an appointment and consult with the pharmacist and be prescribed antibiotics straight away.
