Physiotherapists treat muscle and joint sprains and strains, as well as neck, shoulder and back pain. They use a variety of techniques which can help you return to your normal activities both at home and at work. Ideally this is around 8 weeks.<\/p>\n<h3>Nursing Services<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Advance Nurse Practitioners<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These nurses are trained to review chronic disease patients and can also prescribe new medication for chronic disease and acute prescriptions for urinary infections.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice Nurses\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our Practice Nurses can help you with all the following:<\/p>\n<p>Dressings and Bandages, Wound Care, Blood Pressure and Urine Checks, Smear Tests, Pill checks, Contraception and Family Planning advice, Well-Woman or Well-Man checks and other Healthy Lifestyle advice.<\/p>\n<p>They also have specialist training in order to run chronic disease management clinics for patients with Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Heart Disease, CKD, HRT and more. The Practice Nurses will also act as a chaperone for patients who request this, and also assist the doctors during minor surgery procedures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Health Care Assistant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Practice has a Health Care Assistant who takes most of the blood samples for laboratory testing.
